Our GLBC Kids Ministry Mission:
To nurture children within a loving family of servant missionaries by guiding them to glorify God, love others, be transformed by the gospel, and know the Bible.
Our GLBC Kids Ministry Core Values:
Gospel Guided, Family Focused, & Mission Minded
Sunday
Children in 1stâ5th grade check in upstairs and attend Life Groups during either the 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM service. We encourage families to have their child attend Life Group at the same time as their parent or grown-up.
Childrenâs Life Groups are led by generous volunteer leaders who faithfully invest in the next generation. Lessons follow a chronological study of the Bible through The Gospel Project, a Christ-centered curriculum that highlights Godâs plan of redemption from beginning to end. As kids explore Scripture, they will learn to see how every story points to Jesus and connects to their own need for the gospel.
We also strongly encourage families to attend worship together. Worshiping as a familyâlistening to Godâs Word, singing, praying, and responding to the Holy Spiritâis an important part of a childâs spiritual growth. It is valuable for children to see their parents and grown-ups actively participating in corporate worship.
For this reason, we ask that children attend Life Group during only one hour. Attending both hours would repeat the same lesson and limit their opportunity to worship with their family and church community.
Kid's sermon note resources are available at the Kids Ministry check-in desk and throughout the worship sanctuary to help children stay engaged during the service.
At check-in, each child will receive a sticker with a unique number code. A matching number code will be given to the parent or grown-up and must be presented at pick-up to ensure a safe and secure dismissal process.
Wednesdays
Our goal is to create a welcoming, engaging environment where children grow in their understanding of who God is. Each Wednesday includes worship, Bible teaching, guided discussion, games, and hands-on activities designed to encourage spiritual growth and reflection.

We are honored to partner with families as you disciple your children and are committed to supporting you in helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Family Resources
We believe families are the primary disciple-makers in a childâs life. Our goal is to partner with you by providing meaningful tools and opportunities to support discipleship at home.
Throughout the year, we offer special events designed to engage both kids and families. In addition, we invite you to take advantage of the ongoing resources below to help your child grow in their understanding of Godâs Word.
Bible Buddies
Children are invited to adopt a special stuffed animal âBible Buddyâ to encourage daily Bible engagement at home. Each child will receive an adoption certificate and a simple care guide for their new friend.
The best way to care for a Bible Buddy is by spending time in Scripture togetherâreading Bible verses and growing in Godâs Word as a family.
How to participate:
- Pick up a Bible Buddy at the Kids Check-In Desk
- Receive a Bible reading plan to use at home
- Make Bible reading a regular part of your family routine
Big Bible Challenge
The Big Bible Challenge is a fun and meaningful way for children to grow in their knowledge of Scripture.
Children who complete at least 75% of their grade-specific challenge will be invited to our Annual Awards Nightâa special evening where families can dress up, walk the red carpet, and celebrate each childâs hard work. Kids will receive medals and prizes as we recognize their commitment to learning Godâs Word.
How to participate:
- Pick up a copy of the challenge in the Childrenâs Loft
- Practice Bible skills at home and during class
- Visit Mrs. Sydney on Sunday mornings to demonstrate progress, check off skills, and receive a small celebratory treat
Make the check in process easier by pre-registering your child before you attend.
