The Kindred Spirit Ministry is a ministry of walking alongside a widow offering hope and encouraging her to thrive. The women of the Kindred Spirit Ministry support one another in prayer, encouragement, friendships, fellowships, in worshipping and serving God, and sharing the Word of God.

The Kindred Spirit Ministry offers several areas of interest for its participants.

Dream Team - a team of Kindred Spirit women that supports other ministries of the church by providing "behind the scenes" support - from stuffing envelopes to stuffing Easter eggs - they work as a team, enjoying fellowship with one another, while serving God and HIs Church.

Shut-In Team - a team of women who either make regular visits to our Shut-In widows or who regularly send cards and notes of encouragement to them.

Bible Study - a daytime Bible study for widows to connect and fellowship with one anther while studying the Word of God.

Grief Share - a community Grief Recovery class offered by a sister church to support a grieving widow.

Events & Fellowship - members of the Kindred Spirit Ministry participates in church wide events as well as fellowships designed specifically for them, including Sunday meals after church on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

Marilyn Owen and Herb, her husband of 43 years, joined Grace Life in November of 2020. On April 30, 2022, Herb went home to be with his Lord. Marilyn is allowing God to use her grief, her love of women's ministry, and her gift of hospitality to minister to other women.
